Since 1878 there has been a Lifeboat Station at Clacton and in that time, many faces have answered “The Call”. A few have even made the Ultimate Sacrifice. Clacton Lifeboat Station, with its rich History, would like to trace as many Ex Lifeboat Men and Women that have graced the various boats over the past 138 years and capture their memories for all to enjoy, before they are lost forever. One of our biggest aims is to be able to put Faces to Names listed on Service Returns, along with putting a more personal human touch to the cold facts captured on one or two lines in the Archive. It is not only Crew we would like to hear from, we would also like to hear from past members of the Committee, Family Members of Crew no longer with us. And let us not forget Friends of Clacton Lifeboat Station, your memories are just as important.
