Lifeboat put on standby at 15:39 on Monday 6th January. Thames coastguard requested the launch of the d class to assist Essex police and Clacton coastguard in the search for a vulnerable female thought to be entering the sea in the Martello Bay Area. As the crew were arriving on station we were stood down as Essex police had resolved the incident.

Lifeboat launched to help look for vulnerable person 14:36 on Thursday 9th January. Minutes later the d class launched with Joff Strutt at the helm, and a crew of Darren Simper and Ray Lynaugh. They were tasked to search from Martello bay towards Jaywick alongside Clacton Coastguard and Essex Police for a vulnerable female. After completing a detailed shoreline search up to Lion Point, Essex police found the female safe inland so all units were stood down. After refuelling and washing the boat the crew went back to work at 15:45
