How the towns new Lifeboat station may look
|
Artist's impression for the new boathouse |
This is how Clacton's new Lifeboat Station will look if the scheme gets the go-ahead. Plans have been submitted to Tendring Council and will be discussed by a future meeting of the planning committee. Funds are already in place for the building, which will replace the current base for the inshore boat on the lower promenade. The cliffs will have to be excavated back to make room for the improved station. |
| If the scheme gets the all-clear, work is due to start at the end of the summer season and should be finished by the end of March. The plans will not affect the town's other station for its larger boat on Clacton Pier. | |
