#6  Assist 10m Fishing Vessel

24/03/2019 On Sunday morning while on routine exercise, Clacton’s Atlantic class lifeboat was requested by U.K. Coastguard to assist a 10 metre fishing vessel with three people onboard. The vessel was at anchor in the area of ‘Swire Hole’, approximately 4 miles off Jaywick, which had suffered complete power failure. Under the watchful eye of the helmsman, the probationary crew put all their training into practice and successfully took the vessel and its crew in tow to Brightlingsea, where they were placed in the care of the Harbour staff. The helmsman was happy with how his crew had worked together, saying; ‘The crew done well’ Boat: Atlantic 85 (B835)
